Big Ten Academic Alliance Love Data Week

Save the Date: Love Data Week February 8-12, 2027

Love Data Week is an annual, collaborative celebration that brings together the Big Ten Academic Alliance member universities to explore, share, and celebrate all things data. Taking place each February, this week-long event features a data competition that is open to students, faculty, and staff from Big Ten institutions.

In response to requests for Data Viz Championship details for fall course planning, the BTAA has announced the 2027 student competition will spotlight NCAA Women's Basketball.

Instructors are invited to use the competition as a required or optional activity for students, or as a make-up or extra-credit opportunity.

A link to the NCAA Women's Basketball data set will be published online as soon as it is available. Sign up for the BTAA Love Data Week email list to receive a link as soon as it is released.

Visit the student finalist gallery to see data visualizations for the 2026 college fight song theme and the faculty/staff gallery to see research, projects, and institutional insight submissions.
